The USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) announced on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020 that the summer meal program is being extended, allowing it to continue through the end of the school year.  Though Karval doesn’t participate in the summer meal program, this flexibility will allow Karval school to serve meals to all children (0-18 years of age) throughout the fall semester.

This means that students will not be billed for any meals from August 17- May 20, 2021.  Additionally, we will serve any child ages 0-18 years in the community a Grab-And-Go option upon request beginning September 14, 2020.

To request a Grab-And-Go meal:
- call or email the school by 8 am on the day you would like to pick up
- include the number of meals and names of children requesting
- knock on the cafeteria door between 12:20-12:30 pm (west side of school)
- receive Grab-And-Go meal curbside

Welcome to Karval School District

Welcome to the website for Karval Public Schools RE-23.  This site is intended to provide information that will help you become more acquainted with our district polices, programs, and calendar events.  Our K-12 school district is located a little more than an hour east of Colorado Springs.

Karval School district offers a small school and friendly atmosphere featuring individualized instruction, technology, activities and sports for students.  Our high school students can take high school and college courses online, while having access to a committed and talented staff.  We offer a preschool that gives parents an option to expose their young children to learning and social interaction.

Our community members and parents are truly supportive, making the district the hub of the community.  Our district is a safe place for children to grow up and learn to become responsible citizens.

We invite you to contact us with any question, concerns, or comments you may have regarding our mission, curriculum, and general operations.  Karval is truly an amazing place where tradition and innovation come to together to create something special for all students.
