Day one of Karval Seniors' trip to Florida - it was a great day!

Tonight's board meeting (May 21, 2026, 7:00 pm) has been relocated from the school library to the community building in Karval due to construction.

Ms. Kaycee and Mrs. Seymour are excited to host a Summer Program at Karval Park this year!

Field Day was such a success! ☀️🎉 A huge shoutout to our amazing Student Council students for all the hard work, planning, and energy they put into making today so much fun for everyone! We are so proud of all our students and grateful for a year full of laughter, teamwork, and memories made. 💛 We hope everyone has a safe and wonderful summer break, and we can’t wait to see you all again next year!

Two field trips + lots of memories made yesterday ☀️🍬🛝 Our secondary students headed to Denver where they enjoyed lunch at Red Rooster Cafe before touring the Hammond Candies Factory. Students got to watch candy being made right in front of them — including candy canes and Laffy Taffy — and of course enjoyed a little shopping in the candy store afterward! 🍭 Meanwhile, our elementary students explored the Heritage Museum in Limon, spent time at the park in Hugo, enjoyed lunch together, and made the most of a beautiful day outdoors. ☀️ A fun day of learning, exploring, and making memories for all ages! 💙

This week, we are featuring our graduating seniors!

Today’s field trip to Seven Falls was full of adventure, beautiful views, and what felt like approximately 47 million stairs 😅🏔️ From the laughter on the trails to the memories made along the way, it was such a fun day for students and staff alike. We may be heading home with tired legs, but definitely full hearts. 💙

Last Thursday, 4th through 8th graders went to goal achiever's trip to Main Event and Scheels. ALL students met their goal and got a spot on the trip. (Kennadee and Jayla were not able to go due to rescheduled track meet). Good job students for working hard this school year!

We are looking forward to field trips next week (May 11-14). Note that students will be split up on Tuesday for different destinations. Please be on the lookout for permission slips from your student(s) and get those back to us on Monday.
Monday: All School Field Trip to 7 Falls in Colo. Springs
Tuesday: (Daycare/Prek/Elem.) Limon Heritage Museum and Hugo Railroad Park
Tuesday: (JH/HS) Hammond's Candy Factory in Denver
Wednesday: All School Field Trip to the Paint Mines Interpretive Park in Calhan
Lunch will be provided for all students and staff each day. We've aligned the schedule to coordinate with our existing bus routes (regular and sports) so parents can expect minimal disruption.
Also remember that our LAST DAY is Thursday, May 14. We will have Academic Awards (8 am) and Track and Field Day with a noon dismissal (sack lunches provided) so there will be no pm bus route.

We will have mud routes this evening, Wednesday, May 6, 2026. For those families that don't live adjacent to a highway, please meet your bus driver at the nearest highway/blacktop along the route to pick up your students. Call your bus driver with any questions.

Come join us to Preschool Graduation and Spring Concert! Preschool graduation is from 7pm on Wedesday, May 13th. Followed by Spring Concert! Junior class will be serving dinner from 5:30pm.
