Today (1/30/25) will be an e-learning day due to hazardous road conditions.
Dear Families,
Bus routes will not run on the afternoon of Thursday, February 6 due to Parent/Teacher Conferences. All of the bus drivers are also teachers and need to conduct conferences, so they will not be able to drive buses that afternoon. If your children usually ride the bus to and from school, please make other transportation arrangements for them on the afternoon of February 6.

Dear parents/guardians,
I wanted to make everyone aware that we have exhausted our supply of snow days with the wintery weather we’ve had this school year. In anticipation of tomorrow (1/30/25) having challenging weather conditions, we have decided to send materials home with students for them to do an e-learning day tomorrow if needed.
E-learning allows us to continue to work through our curriculum in the remote environment and keeps us from having to do make-up days on Fridays late in the school year. Because secondary students are already used to logging in to science class, it also allows them to continue to learn virtually if our partner school continues school on a day that is not safe for us to travel.
Teachers have done their best to give every student their work expectations ahead of time. Our e-learning materials should not take longer than a half-day to complete. Unless otherwise communicated, assume GHS science classes and MCC classes are in session and students will need to log in at their regular time. Reach out to your students’ teacher should you have questions about a particular class and they will be available to answer questions.
Thank you for partnering with us to continue to provide the best possible education as the snowflakes continue to fly. If we elect to do an e-learning day tomorrow, the announcement will be made by 6:00 am tomorrow morning via the Karval school app, text, and our social media. If you don’t hear from the school, it will be business as usual.

Join us for a Valentine's Day Dance!
Congratulations to Rylee Corn for being named the Mountain View Electric Power Player of the game for Genoa-Hugo/Karval in the game January 10th. Corn contributed 8 points and 5 rebounds in their victory over the Limon Badgers.
Karval schools will have an early release today, 1/9/25, at 12:45 pm due to inclement weather. Bus routes will commence at 1:00 pm and sports routes will not run today.

Students who are traveling to France/Italy are selling baked goods and hot cocoa sticks at Christmas concert tonight! Concert starts at 7pm, seniors are serving dinner from 5:30pm.
Congratulations to Konnor, Isaiah, and Josey for earning gift cards from Mr. Mallory! They improved their science MAP test scores from fall to winter. Way to go! Thank you, Mr. Mallory!

Students who are traveling to France/Italy will be selling Hot Coco Sticks and baked goods at Limon Holiday Bazaar this Saturday! Please come see us ! If you would like to order hot coco sticks, but unable to come see us in Limon, you can order and pick up at Christmas Concert on 12/18 or shipping is avairable with extra cost.
